  • What is FairBill and how does it work?

    FairBill is an online platform designed for homeowners to better manage their utilities (electricity, water, gas) and home service accounts (TV/internet, home security, pest control, pool service, yard service, etc). Link your services to a secure dashboard, create custom tiles to organize accounts, bills, and contracts, and set reminders to stay on track.

  • How do I sign up for FairBill?

    Signing up is easy. Simply go to our “Sign Up" page and follow the prompts to create your FairBill account. You have 14 days to try it out for free!

  • How do I add my utilities and services to FairBill?

    When you login for the first time, you will be prompted to link your financial accounts through Plaid. We use Plaid to identify your recurring utility transactions and create your home service dashboard “tiles.” You will also be prompted to connect your email accounts which allows FairBill to receive billing and account notifications from your providers so Essie, your AI assistant, can fill in the “tiles” with relevant information and data. Linking through your Plaid and email accounts allows you to harness the full power of FairBill, which, in turn, automatically adds your utilities and services for you.

  • Can I use FairBill on my phone?

    Yes, FairBill’s dashboard is mobile-friendly and accessible via any web browser on your phone or tablet. You can manage utilities, view bills, and set reminders on the go.

  • How do I update my account information?

    Go to “Account Settings” in your FairBill dashboard. You can update your email address, invite users and manage your billing information. Save changes, and they’ll take effect immediately.

  • How do I cancel my FairBill subscription?

    In your dashboard, navigate to “Billing” and select “Cancel Subscription.” Follow the prompts to confirm. There are no long-term contracts, so you can cancel anytime without fees.

  • What happens if I forget my password?

    FairBill doesn't use passwords. We use a more secure method of sending a One Time Passcode (OTP) to login to your account. At account sign in, enter your email address or phone number, and we’ll send you an OTP passcode that you will need to input to login to your account.

  • Can I manage multiple properties in one account?

    Yes, FairBill lets you manage multiple properties. Add each property in your dashboard and create custom tiles for utilities or services like internet or pool service for each one.

  • How does Essie help with my account?

    Essie, our AI assistant, monitors your account, transactions, and bills for unexpected charges and alerts you to upcoming renewals or rate changes, helping you stay informed and save money. She also monitors account notifications and provides assistance if your contract is expiring or you have any other account related issues.

  • What is the FairBill Partner Program?

    The FairBill Partner Program enables professionals like utility brokers, real estate agents, property managers, and financial advisors to offer FairBill’s utility and home service management tools to their clients, earning commissions on referrals.

  • How do I join the FairBill Partner Program?

    Submit an application with your business details. Our team will review it and contact you to discuss next steps, training, and setup.

  • What benefits do partners receive?

    Partners earn monthly commissions, access a real-time dashboard to track referrals, and get dedicated support. You also gain exclusive promotional offers to share with clients.

  • How do I track referrals and commissions?

    Log in to your partner portal to access your dashboard. Use your unique referral link or code to track sign-ups under Clients > Activity Dashboard and view commissions in Reports > Commission History.

  • Is there a cost to become a partner?

    No, joining the FairBill Partner Program is free. We provide training, marketing resources, and support at no cost.

  • Is FairBill only for homeowners?

    No, FairBill is for homeowners, renters, and landlords. Anyone managing residential utilities or home services like electricity, water, gas, internet, or pest control, etc. can use our service to manage their home.

  • How secure is my data with FairBill?

    We use bank-level encryption to protect your data. Sensitive information, like payment details, is never stored, ensuring your privacy and security.

  • Can FairBill help with business utilities?

    FairBill is designed for managing residential properties. Sorry, we don't work with commercial properties at this point.

  • What if my service provider isn’t listed?

    You can manually add any provider by entering their details or uploading a bill. FairBill supports all utilities and home services, even if they’re not pre-listed.

  • How do I contact support?
